Rendering these buildings is alot more difficult then I thought. I have understood how to UV map properly and I completely understand it but when my teacher Lothar told me it takes ages doing the UV mapping he wasn't wrong. I understand that you have to group the face together for each object or different area which will be textured and placed to fit in the UV with everything else but like Lothar said it is very time consuming,
I thought the fountain was the easiest to UV and the hardest will be the middle north building which has lots of windows and is oddly shaped. I have done the 1st and 3rd building on the left side and the 1st on the right with the second in the middle of being done. I also need to UV map 1 sandbag and the duplicate it again which would be easier then to do them all separably.

I have also looked at one of the sequels to Call of Duty 3 which is Call Of Duty World At War.
This game is also set in world war 2 era and has also helped me model and understand building structures. I have used two multiplier maps as research, these are - Upheaval and Outskirts. Both these maps are similar to the model I have been creating.

For research for my final design I looked at world war 2 games as the models which you can see in an earlier post, looks like a french village during world war 2. So I have decided to make it look more war time period.
I looked at a game called Call Of Duty 3, which is based on world war 2.
The images I have used as research has helped me model my towns buildings better.
