Cart

This is the final model/design for my Ferris Wheel cart. I have taken the design from the bottom picture. As you can see I have tried to make it as similar as possible. With the colour scheme I wasn't thinking about using the colours and instead using a colour scheme for most of the models.

Base Structure

Looking at pictures of Ferris Wheels there aren't many of there base structures. It seems almost always different for every one. So I have decided to try and create my own. The first picture below is my first idea. It would lead the people up the ramp to the line/queue with using beams. I then thought about it and I didn't really like the style. So I decided to create a different design/style and came up with a simple step up idea. I couldn't imagine this ride to most popular so it wouldn't have needed to create a queue for the people to wait. As you can see I had been UV editing through the design process.

Inner Support Fames

While looking at Ferris Wheels the frame structure on the inside was never really the same for multiple designs. Nearly every wheel I looked at had a different inner support beam structure. So i decided to go with a classic structure and have a cross over with a beam in the middle as you can see in the bottom picture. I had also added a second circular support beam in which the very outer frame is on for a gap for when the carts go round and dot hit the lower support beams.

Curved Lettering

I have curved the lettering to fit around the inner circle of the wheel so that it would turn as the ride would when in motion. These letters would have lights on them to light it up during night, and I will add bulbs to give and even more authenticated look.

Lettering

With the design of my Ferris Wheel I wanted the rides name to be on the ride and rounded to the frame of the structure. This is don by using the tool, Create - Text, With settings changed.

Support Beams

Looking at Ferris Wheels on the internet they can vary from the support beam style and structure. These are two models of the most common. I am still deciding to which I should pick to have on my model.

Modelling the Structure

So have started designing the structure for the Ferris Wheel with the use of the basic shapes and using the extrude tool to create the main shape and size I want. As I go along, and as you can see I am UV editing along as I go to then create more time for me to texture when I have finished modelling instead of coming back to everything and UV editing it then.
